Position Information:
The primary purpose of this entry-level position is to develop an expert in the field of Human Performance through the means of instruction and intern supervision while in the field, being an expert on the topic of sports care and providing lectures on such topics, supervising student research projects in the field of Human Performance and self-development.
The scope of the Resident is to provide supervision of our chiro interns in the field of Human Performance and especially in the specialty of sports clinical care. Broadly, the Resident serves as an expert on campus in the field of sports and performance and, other than supervising interns, they are called upon to offer consulting to faculty and other clinicians, as well as design and teach courses on the topics of sports and performance.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible opportunity. The duration of this residency is expected to be one year with the option of a renewal for a total of 2 years. Due to the nature of the position some late afternoons, early evenings and occasional Saturdays are expected covering athletic games and supervision.

Work Location: Bloomington, MN in-person
Duties:
- Supervision of chiro interns while providing clinical services to our Human Performance constituents in the field
- Care delivery in the public or Team Clinic
- Designing and delivery of lectures in the field of sports care
- Provide sports care coverage as directed for local schools and other athletic teams
- Contribute to his/her own research interest(s) and other projects at the University
- Supervision of NWHSU HPC Sport Intern students on their research projects
- Follow the CCE Residency Program Standards
- Other duties as assigned
What you need to have?
- Doctor of Chiropractic degree required
- Active Minnesota chiropractic license or qualified to obtain a Minnesota chiropractic license
- 0-2 years of experience in sports care
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related health care field preferred
- Experience in teaching, student supervision, or research
- Preferred certifications include Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), International Certificate Sports Chiropractic (ICSC) Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 45lbs weight bars and plates
