Position Information:

Are you looking for an interesting position with variety and responsibilities? Are you a curious person that likes to dig in and conduct research? If so, our new opportunity in the Advancement and Alumni Relations division is the position for you.

The Advancement and Alumni Relations Coordinator will support fundraising, donor & alumni engagement strategies, and tactics to ensure that fundraising and alumni engagement goals are achieved. This position supports database management, gift processing, alumni and donor communications, just to name a few.

This is a part time (20 hours per week), benefits eligible opportunity.

Work Location: Bloomington, MN with flexibility to work a partially remote schedule; must live local and be able to come to campus as needed


  • Manages the data and information management system (Raiser's Edge), which tracks gift/financial and biographical information on alumni, friends, and donors
  • Enters data into Raiser's Edge and responsible for ensuring accurate and up to date gift records, contact information, and information on alumni and donor engagement with NWHSU
  • Develop and maintain efficient systems for data cleansing, data entry, and gift processing
  • Create and run reports
  • Provide basic prospect research assistance including donor research, synthesizing information, and generating user-friendly profiles, memos, and/or reports
  • Participates on a team to plan, organize logistics, recruit, execute and engage attendees for all Advancement & Alumni events.
  • Manages RSVPs, assists participants in event registration, and answers questions from event stakeholders.
  • Assists in the preparation of event materials and acts as an additional onsite point person for event administration
  • Assist with other departmental duties as needed or assigned

What you need to have?

  • Associates degree or two-year program required
  • Prior experience in development, customer service and/or fundraising
  • Data entry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience working with a relational database and ability to download and export data
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly
  • Strong attention to detail
