The Sweere Clinic of Northwestern Health Sciences University seeks a Massage Therapist to provide evidence informed patient centered care to patients. Contributing to accomplishing the clinic mission of being a center of excellence for patient care and student education.

This is an independent contractor opportunity. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday. Begins with up to 10 hours per week, increasing over time.

Work Location: Bloomington, MN in-person

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing various therapeutic massage services to clinic clients.
  • Implementing ongoing practice-building incentives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Specialized training in massage therapy and craniosacral therapy of less than two years.
  • Experience working in a clinical setting and experience or desire to work in an integrative healthcare setting.
  • Experience with a wide range of client ages and conditions.
  • High level of proficiency in craniosacral therapy.
  • Certification in Massage Therapy required.
  • Certification in CPR/BLS Training and Craniosacral Therapy preferred.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents specific to massage therapy and complementary,
    alternative, and integrative therapies.
  • Ability to respond effectively to inquiries regarding massage therapy from customers, members of the
    community, staff, and students.
  • Ability to develop and present original and innovative programs on massage therapy to customers,
    members of the community, staff, and students.
