Position Information

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, and an integral member of the Marketing and Communications team, the Marketing Program Manager is responsible for conceptualizing, managing and executing strategic and tactical marketing communications plans in order to drive brand awareness. Through traditional and digital communications campaigns, community, business outreach and public relations opportunities the Marketing Program Manager generates and nurtures leads for academic and other business and community programs, explores and builds strategies and tactics from paid and earned media, and develops content.

Work Location:

Bloomington, MN with flexibility to work 3+ days per week remotely; must live local and be able to come to campus as needed.

Duties:

  • Actively contribute new ideas and/or identification of existing vehicles to support marketing objectives
  • Create and manage detailed tactical marketing components to support business goals
  • Execute tactics and ensure objectives are met within assigned budget
  • Create marketing briefs when appropriate to encapsulate and support business objectives, creative/messaging direction and other considerations that will allow internal and external partners to develop required marketing materials
  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing programs across all marketing channels in alignment with brand and campaign messaging requirements. This includes content, design, print, digital, earned and paid media, etc.
  • Lead the development of formal and informal research from market demand and consumer profiling, to focus groups and other primary and secondary research that helps gain insight into market dynamics
  • Assist in the development of marketing segmentation studies, development of persona's, and develop and implement content that supports a more targeted approach to marketing
  • Analyze the outcomes of marketing campaign activity to assess performance and return on investment with the goal of continuously improving metrics measuring campaign effectiveness.
  • Proactively build effective, strategic and tactical working relationships with multiple business units, stakeholders and marketing partners
  • Leverage workflow process to implement campaigns efficiently and ensuring campaigns meet objectives set forth in the strategy / marketing plan

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (required) or Master's degree (preferred) in the fields of marketing, business, communication, or journalism
  • 5+ years of experience in higher education, corporate marketing, or other progressive marketing venue and across a broad range of media at both a strategic and tactical level.
  • Understanding of workflow management in a marketing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and lead collaborative, interdependent teams.
  • Healthcare clinic marketing experience preferred
