Position Information:

The Continuing Education Assistant applies to and maintains the approvals from state and national licensing and regulatory boards for seminars and online courses offered by the Continuing Education (CE) department. Additional responsibilities include invoicing partners, processing annual royalty payments, answering phones, and customer service as needed. This position reports to the Continuing Education Manager.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible opportunity. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Work Location:

Bloomington, MN with flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week; must live local and be able to come to campus as needed.


  • Applies to state and national boards for NWHSU sponsored and co-sponsored seminars and online courses
  • Tracks and invoices payments for all co-sponsored offerings
  • Handles customer concerns about CE board and regulatory approvals and other topics when needed
  • Attends regularly scheduled meetings to support the CE department
  • Assists in seminars and on campus offerings
  • Reconciles annual offerings royalty payments


  • Associate's degree or two-year program required
  • Bachelor's degree obtained through a formal four-year program preferred
  • 1-3 years experience working with compliance/state regulators and understanding of/experience with a data base/student management system is preferred

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Well established attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines at once is imperative.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel and Word.
  • General computer skills such as email, PowerPoint, Adobe, and web-based meeting software (like Teams and ZOOM).
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work within a team.
