Position Information:

The primary purpose of this entry-level position is to develop an expert in the field of Human Performance through the means of instruction and intern supervision while in the field, being an expert on the topic of sports care and sports nutrition while providing lectures on such topics, supervising student research projects in the field of Human Performance/Nutrition and self-development.

This is a full-time, benefits eligible opportunity.

Duties Include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise clinical interns while providing clinical services including sports nutrition advisement to our Human Performance constituents in the field
  • Develop and create nutritional and educational material through independent study opportunities
  • Attend seminars, meetings and corporate events of industrial partners
  • Create content that fosters relationship and meets needs of industrial partners
  • See patients, perform examinations, develop treatment plans and provide care
  • Occasionally supervise interns delivering care and performing examinations
  • Design and deliver lectures in the field of sports care
  • Supervise NWHSU HPC Sport Intern students on their research projects
  • Misc. administration: Emails, planning of field work

Position Qualifications:

  • New grad; 1-3 years experience preferred
  • Doctoral or professional degree in Chiropractic or other related healthcare field (such as a Nutritionist or Dietician) required
    • If a DC, licensure is required
  • Certification in Strength & Conditioning or Athletic Training is preferred

Other Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proven clinical skills required
  • Experience in teaching and student supervision
  • Research
  • Leadership
