Position Information:

Reporting to the Vice President Clinic & Retail Administration, the Director of Clinical Services provides clinical leadership and management to ensure high quality, patient centered care is delivered across the clinic division while creating an effective learning environment for students. This working Director of Clinical Services provides leadership and organizational stewardship by promoting the development of health care professionals through clinical competence and professional conduct and is a key leader in the development of the integrative care model and clinical guidelines for the University. In addition, this leader will embrace and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement and evidence-based care delivery.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible opportunity working regular business hours (could require some nights and weekends).

Duties Include, but are not limited to:

  • Clinical direction & leadership
  • Management
  • Quality assurance and risk management
  • Providing clinical leadership and collaboration with other department constituents, NWHSU strategic initiatives, and academic programs
  • Collaborating with the Vice President of Clinic & Retail Administration

Position Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree is required; however, an advanced degree is strongly preferred in the field of chiropractic, general medicine, nursing, or osteopathic medicine. Minimum of five years of experience in clinical practice with an integrated model, experience working with students, and developing clinical policies and standards. 3-5 years management experience required.

  • Clinical skills including understanding and utilization of chiropractic, acupuncture and massage therapy services
  • Excellent skills related to communication, patient education, assessment, organization, diagnosis, professionalism, and adjustment techniques
  • Up to date knowledge of coding and documentation
  • HIPAA training in compliance with federal law
  • Ability to work effectively in a consultative, decision-making culture
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues at all levels in the University
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Proactive problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
