Position Information:

The Director, Human Performance Center (HPC) will report to the VP, Clinic Administration. This role is intended to directly support the growth and management of the HPC. Activities will include administrative oversite of the Team Clinic operations including coordination with the clinic fellows, sport interns and other administrative duties. This role will also collaborate and participate in the development and delivery of sports and performance academia in coordination with the University Academic Division; currently the Sports Emphasis for the DCP and ACM programs as well as the Rehabilitation Emphasis for the DCP. Continuous quality improvement and program growth are key components to the HPC Director role.

This is a full time, benefits eligible opportunity working Monday - Friday (hours may vary). This is a ranked faculty position with a teaching assignment of 30-50% depending on the teaching needs of the University.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Addresses growth opportunities where the HPC may contribute to the University Strategic Plan
    • Development of new academic programs in collaboration with Academic Deans
    • Community engagement and implementing our services into these areas; university athletic departments, high school athletic departments, amateur and professional athletic agencies
    • Ideate, innovate and implement new HPC revenue resources for the University
    • CQI of the Fellowship program; addressing future potential partners in our Fellowship, fostering sustainability
    • Foster growth of industrial partners
    • Consideration and assistance in the design and launch of human performance research
    • Participation in various leadership and administrative strategic meetings
    • Collaborate and participate with admissions team for student growth opportunities
  • Maintains efficient daily administrative operations of the HPC
    • Direction and management of current academic programs in the Sports Emphasis and Rehabilitation Emphasis
    • Direction of the current Fellowship
    • Direct the implementation and ongoing clinical operations of the EHR, policies, procedures, etc.
    • Oversite of HPC facility and operations management; HPC Clinic space, laundry, storage units, etc.
    • Maintenance of the HPC current industrial partners.
  • Coordination and collaboration with academic, admissions, and other departmental leadership
    • Collaboration with other Academic Directors/Deans to assure alignment of our clinical practices and the expected outcomes of the academic programs.
    • Collaborate and participate with admissions team for student growth opportunities
    • Teaches didactic/laboratory classes as requested and needed to support relevant discipline emphasis courses.
    • Attends and contributes to standing leadership meetings.

Position Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Chiropractic degree, required
  • Master's degree in another discipline, preferred (For example, D.C. and Master's in Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine)
  • 10 years experience in Sports Chiropractic or High Performance Athlete Health Management and 7 years management experience, required
  • Certification in Sports Care, required
  • Licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, required
  • Registration in Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology, or Sports Performance, preferred
  • Preference to those with an athletic training background
  • High degree of skill in personnel management and direction, especially for our growing and advanced Fellowship program
  • Excellent skills in teaching, both clinically and with hands-on instruction
